Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacology

The Department of Physiological Sciences, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants with a PhD in pharmacology or related field are encouraged to apply, and applicants with both PhD and DVM will receive priority consideration. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an extramurally-supported research program. Current areas of research within the Department include toxicology, enzymology of drug metabolism, lung biology, exercise/stress physiology, comparative aging, therapeutics, animal models of disease, and cardiovascular physiology. Candidates with research interests in one of these areas are especially encouraged to apply, although applicants working in other areas will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include active participation in pharmacology coursework within the professional curriculum and contribution to the Veterinary Biomedical Sciences graduate program. Stillwater is a small but growing college town (population about 50,000) with a low cost of living located about 1 hour from both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metropolitan areas.
