RESIDENCY TRAINING


In order to become eligible to take Phase I of the Diplomate Certifying Examination, a candidate must be enrolled in an ACVCP Training program (residency) that has been approved by the ACVCP Education Committee.

In order to become eligible to take Phase II of the Diplomate Certifying Examination, a candidate must have completed an ACVCP Training program (residency) that has been approved by the ACVCP Education Committee by the time the candidate sits for the exam.

At the time of registration, candidates will be required to identify the training program which they are completing or have completed. Candidates are encouraged to register with the ACVCP as soon as possible after beginning their training.

For additional information, candidates may consult with an ACVCP Supervisor or Mentor of a training program or any ACVCP diplomate who has access to the ACVCP Education Committee's "Information for Supervisors and Mentors of ACVCP Training Programs" document which is located on the "Diplomates" section of the ACVCP website.
